My research interests lie on the boundary of glaciology and mathematical modeling. In the broad sense, I try to understand glacier processes by means of physical and numerical models. My current research interests heavily involve numerical modeling of ice processes of various scales: from large-scale ice-sheet models to small scale sub-ice-stream lakes. In previous years, I have worked on a range of problems involving the dynamics, thermodynamic, hydrodynamic and flexural processes of glaciers, ice streams, ice shelves and icebergs.
